The sky is the limit in a world where cereal companies have done anything and everything to turn your breakfast into something you never would have imagined. One company has taken this idea to its extreme, bringing an 80s horror movie staple back from the dead…but will it cost you?
The “is highkey healthy” is a cereal that will turn your breakfast upside down. The cereal has no sugar, but it will cost you $7 for a box of cereal.
Stranger Things-themed boxes of all your favorite cereals have been created in collaboration with Netflix and General Mills. As a result, viewers will get a taste of the series as they wait for the highly anticipated fourth season of the blockbuster program, which will premiere in the spring of 2022 after a lengthy absence. Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Lucky Charms are among the cereals offered, each having its own distinct connection to the program.
The Lucky Charm box portrays Warwick Davis, everyone’s favorite Leprechaun, clutching multi-sided dice that the party would use to play Dungeons & Dragons. He’s also pointing to multiple Christmas lights, referring to how Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) communicated with her kidnapped son Will using the same device (Noah Schnapp). A free toy Wheeler van is also included at the bottom of the package.

The bowl of cereal in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch box is upside down. Though it looks like a great method to spread milk all over the place, it’s also a reference to the Upside Down. During season one, Will was stranded in an alien universe. And what upside-down world would be complete without a Demogorgon? The creature’s smiling flower-shaped head is included in the package, as with five dollars worth of Palace Arcade tokens.
The logo has been turned upside down on the Cheerios box. In addition, the inside of the ‘o’ is fashioned like the head of a Demogorgon. It also promotes a chance to win a $100 Starcourt Mall gift card. The precise site where the KGB set up shop in order to infiltrate the Upside Down. There’s even Russian text on the box, in case fans missed that connection.
There’s more, however. The fun doesn’t stop at the front of these limited-edition cereal boxes. Aside from the previously stated interesting Easter Eggs from the program, the side and back also have touches from the show. As if there was a missing poster for Barb’s persona (Shannon Purser). Each box’s front cover opens like a book, revealing a two-page Stranger Things activity.
The group riding away on their bikes E.T. style from season one is seen on the inside of the Lucky Charms box. The tunnel system used by the Demodogs in season two is shown on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch box, along with Will’s visage. The Mind-avatar Flayer’s from season 3 is on the Cheerios box, along with a photo of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) from the same season.
The quoted price for each box on Netflix’s online store is $19.86. Some may find it costly, but there’s a purpose behind it. Stranger Things season 4 is set in 1986, which explains why the price is so high. And keep in mind that this isn’t your typical cereal box. It’s also not your standard food-related cross-promotion.
