In Nintendo’s Metroid, your mission is to explore a planet and defeat the space pirates who have invaded. As you traverse the planet’s many zones, uncovering secrets left behind by long-dead civilizations, collecting power-ups that let you access new areas of the world, encountering enemies from all different walks of life – it becomes clear this isn’t an ordinary adventure. In fact, what starts out as a standard sci-fi fare soon transforms into something much more mystical and spiritual in nature. The exploration aspect also reinvents itself because instead of travelling around on foot or through vehicles – players can morph their entire body into nearly any object they come across during their journey! This creates a whole new level for gaming experiences that has yet to be seen before: where physical movement is just one facet of an epic tale about self discovery that will leave both old school gamers and newer audiences alike breathless with wonderment at its scope.
