In a recent interview, the CEO of ESPN said that they were considering cutting their gymnastics coverage in order to focus on other sports. This has left many fans wondering if there will be any future for the sport and what this means for them as viewers.
The sincere apology is a phrase that is often used after losing track of something. The term can be used in many different contexts and it’s meaning has changed over time.

After the live stream of the gymnastics dropped out during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics broadcast on Monday, the was compelled to offer an apology.
The men’s gymnastics team final was aired live from the Ariake Centre in Tokyo, with former Team GB gymnast Craig Heap and former The One Show presenter Matt Baker commentating.
Due to travel limitations imposed as a consequence of the coronavirus epidemic, the is attempting to broadcast as much as possible from the Olympic Games while its punditry crew remains in the UK.
Unfortunately, Craig and Matt were plagued by a series of technical issues, which resulted in the stream being cut off several times.
While Russia’s David Belyavskiy got off to a great start with his routine, Craig and Matt’s live feed was interrupted as the gymnast traveled down the horse.
As Matt apologized for the technological difficulties, the commentators were agitated.

‘We’ve misplaced our photos, we’ve misplaced our photos. We’re back on, we’re back on, we’re back on, we’re back on. Fortunately, David Belyavskiy is still on the pommel horse,’ he said.
‘Thankful for that, up into the handstand – we don’t know what occurred in the midst of the performance, but it must’ve been fantastic!’ Craig responded.
The broadcast cut again as the commentators tried to regain their composure in time to cover the next competitor, forcing Matt to apologize once again.
‘It’s vanished yet again, it’s vanished yet again! ‘I apologize to everyone for this,’ he added.
‘We’ll dispatch our technical team.’ We have no control over the images that are being returned from Tokyo.
‘So, we’re uh… that looked nice!’

The lack of video footage of Squad GB’s gymnastics team also failed to excite viewers.
Before any of Team GB’s members went to the platform, Matt made a short statement to address any potential concerns.
‘Obviously, our eyes will be on the United Kingdom,’ he added.
‘We’ll keep you updated on their scores if we don’t see them since we don’t have control over the stream.’ I’ll keep you updated as things go here.’
# What have you done with the coverage of the #Olympics? It’s a waste of time. Just finished watching the last game of the table tennis final on the red button, and you cut it off! You completed the gymnastics coverage early so you could listen in on the conversation. Switching between channels on a regular basis. Do you have any clue what’s going on?

I believe they are fixated on showing the most important events on 1. Switching gymnastics to red button and then seeing it delayed on 1 later seems odd to me (eating into time when live coverage of a sport could be shown). Sigh. #bbcolympics

The video they’re getting from Tokyo for the gymnastics final doesn’t exactly depict Team GB at the #Olympics.
