Orlando, Fla. is planning for an amazing 2021 with great economic growth and plenty of intelligent people to fill the workforce needed to keep everything running smoothly. But what’s really interesting about this city? What makes it so different than other cities in the United States?

The “orlando magic news” is a pleasant surprise for Orlando early in 2021. The NBA has announced that the Magic will be moving back to the city.

In terms of their win-loss record, the Orlando Magic’s season has gone as planned so far. Orlando is 2-6 so far this season and is expected to finish towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference rankings. Magic supporters, on the other hand, have reason to be optimistic about their team’s prospects, since their performances have been much more promising than their record shows. Franz Wagner, a rookie forward, has been a pleasant surprise for Orlando in the early stages of the 2021-22 NBA season.

Many questioned the Magic’s selection of Wagner with the eighth overall choice in this year’s NBA draft, questioning their decision to choose the Michigan star with their second lottery pick of the evening. Many thought he was a reach at 8th after a poor performance at Summer League.

Wagner, on the other hand, is demonstrating that the Magic made the correct decision in taking a risk on him so far. In fact, he has outperformed expectations and is playing even better than Orlando’s prized rookie, Jalen Suggs, whom they selected fifth overall.

With the Magic firmly in rebuilding mode, head coach Jamahl Mosley wasted no time in giving his young players as much playing time as they could manage. Wagner has started each of the team’s eight games and averages more over 32 minutes each night.

Many people doubted Wagner’s ability to adjust to the NBA game immediately away. But for the 6-foot-10 winger, it’s been a smooth adjustment thus far. Wagner has averaged 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in his first eight games. With a 50.5 percent field goal shooting %, 46.3 percent 3-point shooting percentage, and a true shooting percentage of 61.1 percent, his shooting splits are also off the charts.

In Orlando’s most recent triumph against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Mo Wagner’s younger sister drew a lot of attention. Wagner scored 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting, five 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block for a career-high 28 points. It was a remarkable all-around effort from the teenager, demonstrating what he is capable of when he is at his peak.

For the most part, Wagner’s bread and butter has been catching and shooting from beyond the arc. One of the most impressive features of his game has been his mobility away from the ball. The dynamic attacker has also showed glimpses of being able to create off the bounce and put the ball on the deck. The German wing appears quite comfortable with his dribble drives to the basket, as he demonstrated in bunches during the game against the Timberwolves.

Aside from his scoring, Wagner has shown an ability to create plays for his teammates in limited situations. He possesses excellent court vision and an uncanny ability to make the proper move and locate the open player.

Wagner has been as excellent as he has been promised on defense. So far, his activity and understanding of where he should be on that side of the court has stood out. When stripping the ball, he has excellent hands and is excellent at sliding his feet laterally to keep up with faster opponents. Wagner’s agility and stature make him a versatile defender who can cover a variety of spots.

Wagner might profit from Jonathan Isaac’s absence, who is currently rehabbing from a broken ACL. However, given the way the 20-year-old has performed so far, coach Jamahl Mosley may find it difficult to keep the kid off the court for an extended period of time.
