The Patriots are one of the most successful franchises in NFL history, but they are also known for their strict discipline. One former player, who credits the team for his success, says that he was able to break out during 2021 because of the Patriots’ tough training regimen.

The new england patriots coach is a player that has been with the team since 2007. He credits his success to the Patriots and their coaching staff.

The New England Patriots may be an acquired taste for certain NFL players. Bill Belichick, the Patriots’ head coach, is one-of-a-kind and takes a unique approach to teaching his players. Although playing in New England may not be ideal for everyone, some players are willing to purchase what the club is selling.

In his eighth season, Cordarrelle Patterson is finally breaking out, thanks to lessons learned from Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

In 2021, Cordarrelle Patterson is having a breakthrough season.

Cordarrelle Patterson is on his way to having his finest season in the NFL. With his success during the first five weeks of the 2021 season, the Atlanta Falcons all-around athlete has garnered a lot of attention.

Patterson has struggled to establish himself as a reliable offensive playmaker since being selected with the No. 29 overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. As a rookie, the Tennessee native caught 45 receptions for 469 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for three touchdowns, earning him a place on the All-Rookie Team in 2013.

Patterson’s offensive output dipped somewhat in the years following, but he became a special teams juggernaut. In his career, the Rock Hill, South Carolina native has 7,317 kick return yards and eight touchdowns. As a special teamer, he’s made the Pro Bowl four times.

He’s 30, and he’s finally putting it all together on offense. Patterson’s dynamic talents are being used by Falcons offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Smith has him lined up as a wide receiver and a running back. Patterson has 25 receptions for 295 yards and four touchdowns on 25 catches. On the ground, he has 173 yards and one touchdown.

Patterson is evidence that if you work hard enough, you can achieve success.

Cordarrelle Patterson is having his best season of his career, but it didn’t come overnight. When you ask the Falcons’ Swiss army knife what occurred, he’ll point to one of his previous NFL destinations.

Patterson was traded to the New England Patriots by the Oakland Raiders following the 2017 season. The Patriots used the former Volunteer as a wide receiver, running back, and kick returner. During the 2018 season, he has a total of five touchdowns.

Patterson just spent one season in New England under Bill Belichick, but he acquired valuable lessons that he’ll carry with him for the rest of his career.

In an interview with Pro Football Focus, Patterson stated, “That really taught me the way to prepare and compete and all that stuff.” “When you go over there, it’s like, ‘Hey, we’re trying to win,’” says the narrator. Every week, we’ll come out on top.’ That’s how they think over there.”

For his lone season with the Patriots, the ninth-year veteran says it was simple to buy in. “It’s a mentality, a culture, and all of that,” he said. “As soon as you step inside that building, you’re on your own. There’s no such thing as ‘Let’s get this victory.’ We’re all here for the same reason.”

The ‘Patriot Way’ isn’t for everyone.

Cordarrelle Patterson seems to have liked his time in New England with Bill Belichick. The squad developed in the then-27-year-old a strong work ethic and competitive attitude.

Patterson enjoyed battling for the Patriots, but not every player felt the same way. Darrelle Revis, a former All-Pro cornerback, was a recent guest on the I AM ATHLETE podcast.

When Brandon Marshall inquired about his time with Belichick and the Patriots, Revis had some intriguing things to say.

“Every time you walk in the door with the New England Patriots, there’s a lot of pressure,” Revis said. “There’s a lot of tension… It’s a new experience. You have no idea what Mr. Kraft is up to, and you have no idea what Bill is up to.”

Revis, like Patterson, only spent one season in New England. The two participants, on the other hand, had quite different experiences. Despite winning a Super Bowl with the Patriots in 2014, the seven-time Pro Bowler was not a fan of Belichick.

Revis stated of his old coach, “That’s not my man.”

Bill Belichick’s teaching approach didn’t appear to bother Cordarrelle Patterson. He attributes his comeback to the Patriots’ culture.

Pro Football Reference provided all stats.

Despite winning a Super Bowl in New England, Darrelle Revis criticizes Bill Belichick and the “Patriot Way.”
